How do I book a shoot?

Simply get in touch via the Contact page with your property address and a few details about what you're looking for. I'll come back to you within a couple of hours with a confirmed quote and available dates. No complicated process — just a straightforward conversation to get things booked in.

What areas do you cover?

I'm based on the North Coast and cover Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, including Donegal, Antrim, Derry, Down, and beyond. Travel is included within a reasonable distance of the North Coast. For locations further afield, a small travel cost may apply — just mention your location when you get in touch and I'll confirm everything upfront with no surprises.

What happens on the day of the shoot?

I'll start with a general walkthrough of the property to get a feel for the space, check the light, and open blinds and windows where needed. Once I've set up I work through each room methodically — interiors first, then exteriors, detail shots, and drone work if included.

Most residential shoots take between 1 and 2 hours depending on property size. I work efficiently and don't need the property to be showroom-perfect, but a general tidy before I arrive always helps the final results.

Does the property need to be empty?

For holiday let and Airbnb shoots, ideally yes — or at least cleared of personal items, guests, and pets. For estate agent shoots, vendors can be present but it works best if they're relaxed and happy for me to move through rooms freely. I'll guide you on anything specific when we confirm the booking.

What is the turnaround time?

For most residential shoots, you can expect your edited gallery within 24-48 hours. Larger properties or premium packages with extensive editing may take a little longer — up to 7 days in some cases, particularly during busy periods when drone shoots have to be rescheduled around the weather. I'll always give you a realistic timeframe when we book and keep you updated if anything changes. Fast turnaround is something I take seriously, especially for estate agents working to listing deadlines.

How do I receive my photographs?

Your finished gallery is delivered via a private cloud portfolio link. From there you can view, download, and share your images in high resolution at any time. Airbnb and holiday let packages include 30-day access as standard, with extended archive access on larger packages. Estate agent galleries are delivered directly to your inbox and are ready to upload straight to PropertyPal, or your platform of choice.

What equipment do you use?

I shoot with the Fujifilm X-H2 paired with Fujifilm ultra-wide and zoom lenses, which produces exceptional detail and colour accuracy across all lighting conditions. For interiors I use a professional flambient lighting technique — a combination of flash and ambient light that renders spaces naturally and warmly without harsh shadows.

For drone work I fly the DJI Air 2S. I am fully CAA approved with an A2 CofC licence, which covers both residential and commercial drone photography. All drone work is fully insured.

What is flambient photography?

Flambient is a professional technique that blends flash-lit and ambient-lit exposures in post-processing to produce images that look natural, bright, and true to how a space actually feels. It avoids the cold, washed-out look of pure flash and the dark, uneven result of ambient-only shooting. It's the method used by the best property photographers worldwide and it's what I use on every shoot.

Can you do drone photography at my property?

In most cases yes — I hold a CAA A2 CofC licence which allows me to fly in most residential and commercial locations across the UK and Ireland. Some locations near airports, restricted airspace, or certain urban areas may require additional checks or permissions. I'll confirm drone suitability when we book.

Drone flights are always weather dependent. If conditions aren't safe on the day of your shoot, we'll arrange a separate drone session as soon as conditions allow, at no extra cost to you.

What if the weather is bad on shoot day?

Interior photography can go ahead in almost any weather — in fact overcast days often produce the most even, flattering interior light. If drone work is booked and weather prevents flying, I'll reschedule the drone session separately rather than delay your whole gallery. I monitor forecasts closely and will always communicate with you in advance if there are any concerns.

Do you offer floor plans?

Yes — 2D floor plans are available as an add-on to any package. Pricing is based on property size and starts from £45. Plans are delivered digitally in multiple formats, ready for use on property listings. See the pricing pages for full details.

Do you work with estate agents on a regular basis?

Yes, and I offer volume discounts for agents booking regularly. Five or more properties per month qualifies for 10% off each shoot, and ten or more per month qualifies for 15% off.
